Rajasthan HC mandates minimum 1km buffer zone for protected forests

The Rajasthan High Court has mandated a minimum of one-kilometre Ecologically Sensitive Zones around protected forests. Jamua Ramgarh Wildlife Sanctuary will have 500 metres for existing activities. The court ordered strict measures against illegal constructions in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Police and forest officials are directed to cooperate to enforce these rules, ensuring the protection of natural habitats.
