Rajasthan Cabinet nod to bill for preventing religious conversions, slew of policies

The Rajasthan state Cabinet has approved the Rajasthan Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Bill, 2024, aimed at preventing conversion through inducement or deceit. The new law will impose strict penalties, including 1-10 years imprisonment, and may invalidate marriages intended for unlawful conversion. Additional policies to boost industrial and financial growth were also approved.
