Day after panchayat rule scrapped, Rajasthan removes 2-child cap for municipal polls as well

Rajasthan has removed the three-decade-old two-child norm for contesting panchayat and municipal elections. The state government stated the rule had become outdated due to increased public awareness and changing circumstances. This amendment allows individuals with more than two children to participate in grassroots democracy.
