‘Dark and fat’ taunts: Rajasthan man gets death for burning wife alive

In a shocking verdict, a Udaipur court sentenced Kishandas to death for the gruesome murder of his wife, Laxmi, in 2017. Kishandas, driven by disdain for Laxmi’s appearance, tricked her into applying a flammable chemical before setting her ablaze. The court deemed the crime exceptionally heinous, warranting capital punishment to deter similar acts.
