Major UIT crackdown: 300 Bighas of encroached land cleared, property worth over Rs 100 crore reclaimed

Jaisalmer’s Urban Improvement Trust, acting on the District Collector’s orders, launched a massive anti-encroachment drive, reclaiming government land valued at over Rs 100 crore. Approximately 300 bighas were cleared in the Amarsagar Bypass area, targeting illegal occupations and land mafias. The administration adopted a humanitarian approach for families residing in permanent structures, giving them time to relocate.
