Crude oil leak from Vedanta Cairn pipeline spreads across farmland near Bothiya village in Rajasthan

A significant crude oil leak from a Vedanta Cairn pipeline near Bothiya village, Barmer, has contaminated approximately 500 metres of farmland. The company has suspended operations and is working to pinpoint the leak’s origin and cause. Spilled oil is being collected and removed, while affected farmers express concern over crop damage. This marks the second such incident in the region this year.
