Jodhpur sessions court quashes trial court order, grants relief to including IPS officer 24 policemen in Kamlesh Prajapati encounter case

A Jodhpur court has nullified the murder charges against 24 police officers, including IPS officer Anand Sharma, in the controversial Kamlesh Prajapati encounter case. The Sessions Court concluded that Prajapati posed a threat by attempting to run over officers during his escape, with the police’s firing deemed necessary for self-defense, validating their actions as legitimate rather than a staged encounter.
