14-year-old sold for Rs 32,000 under pretext of marriage, gangraped; 4 arrested

Authorities in Ajmer, Rajasthan, have apprehended four individuals in connection with the trafficking and gang-rape of a 14-year-old girl. The minor was allegedly sold for Rs 32,000 under the guise of marriage. Rescued from Churu district, the girl’s statement and medical evidence led to charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act. Investigations are ongoing to locate a fifth suspect.
