Extremely rare FOP disease detected in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan for 1st time; muscles gradually turn into bone

A rare medical condition, Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP), also known as ‘Stone Man Syndrome,’ has been identified for the first time in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. A 9-year-old child is gradually turning ‘stone-like’ as their soft tissues transform into bone, highlighting the need for increased awareness and specialized care for such rare diseases.
