‘Don’t give a drop of water to Pakistan’: Rajasthan farmer associations urge PM Narendra Modi; cite acute shortage

Farm associations in Rajasthan’s north-western districts have appealed to Prime Minister Modi to halt water flow to Pakistan. They allege that Punjab diverted surplus water to Pakistan between July and September, despite facing shortages in its own canals. This action, according to the associations, threatens farming across 45 lakh acres in Rajasthan, particularly in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh.
