‘Blasting operations at night disturbing wildlife’: Marble mining threatens big cats in Rajasthan’s Sariska Tiger Reserve; lease to be cancelled

A mining lease, previously cleared by the National Board for Wildlife, is now under scrutiny for allegedly excavating marble within Sariska Tiger Reserve’s protected area, endangering the tiger population. A report indicates that the mining activity encroaches upon 1,876 sq metres of forest land, prompting calls for cancellation of the wildlife clearance.
